On confirmation
of availability we will ask for a 25% Deposit with the balance to
be paid 8 weeks before Arrival Date please.
Payment Method by Cash or Cheque (sorry, we cannot accept Credit
Cards)
Terms & Conditions
Lettings
are normally from Saturday (4.00 pm) to Saturday (10.00am). If a
late arrival is expected, please advise.
• The
properties known as Ivy House bed & breakfast & self-catering
accommodation are offered for holiday rental subject to
confirmation by Mr Lee (the owner) to the renter (the client).
• To reserve
the property, the client should complete and sign the booking form
& return it with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit
(25% of the total rent due). Following receipt of the booking form
& deposit, the owner will send a confirmation invoice & statement.
This is the formal acceptance of the booking. The date when the
remaining balance is due will be stated on the confirmation
letter.
• The balance
of the rent is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of
the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the
owner reserves the right to give notice that the reservation is
cancelled. Reservations made within the 8 weeks of the start of
the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
• The client is
strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance
policy ( including cancellation cover) & to have full cover for
the party's personal belongings, public liability etc, since these
are not covered by the owner's insurance. Deposits are
non-refundable.
• The rental
period shall commence at 4.00.pm on the first day and finish at
10.00.am. on the last day. The owner shall not be obliged to offer
the accommodation before the time stated and the client shall not
be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.
• The maximum
number to reside in the property must not exceed the number as
stated in the owner's brochure, unless the owner has given written
permission.
• The client
agrees to be a considerate tenant & to take good care of the
property & to leave it in a clean & tidy condition at the end of
the rental period. The client also agrees not to act in a way,
which would cause disturbance to those, resident. Guests are
kindly requested not to disturb other tenants or neighbouring
properties by loud noise or music.
• The client
shall report to the owners, without delay, any defects in the
property, or breakdown in the equipment, plant or machinery, or
appliances in the property or garden, & arrangements for repair
&/or replacements will be made as soon as possible. Articles
damaged or broken during your stay should be replaced
like-for-like, we hope that you will notify us of any damages or
breakages however small so that we are aware and can replace the
item in time for our next guest.
• The owner
shall not be liable to the client for any temporary defect or
stoppage in the supply of public services to the property. Nor in
respect of any equipment, plant or machinery or appliance in the
property or garden, for any loss, damage or injury which is the
result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or any
other matters beyond the control of the owner. Nor for any loss,
damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client, if
the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before
the start of the rental period, and in any such event, the owner
shall within 7 days of notification to the client, refund to the
client all sums paid previously in respect of the rental period.
Under no circumstance shall the owner's liability to the client
exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.
• The owner
shall not be liable for accident or injury, however sustained on
the premises or gardens by the client or by members of their party
or guests.
This contract
shall be governed by English & French law in every particular
including formation & interpretation & shall be deemed to have
been made in
England.
Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract
may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in
England
or France. |
